New Comprehensive Housing Market Analysis

HUD USER has posted a new Comprehensive Housing Market
Analysis (CHMA) for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which is
available online and can be downloaded for free
at www.huduser.gov/portal/publications/econdev/mkt_analysis.html.
 
The report contains valuable information for builders,
mortgagees, local planners, and others who need to keep
up with local housing conditions and trends. Prepared by
field economists in HUD's Office of Policy Development
and Research, the report provides data that should prove
useful in anticipating changes in demand for new
housing. The CHMA describes the economic, demographic,
and housing inventory characteristics of the
Philadelphia housing market from 1990 to 2000, from 2000
through December 2006, and projections from January 1,
2007 to January 1, 2010.
 
In addition to the new CHMA, the HUD USER website above
provides links to previously published reports covering
housing markets across the nation. All reports are
available as free downloads.
