HUD's Economic and Market Analysis Division recently
released new Comprehensive Market Analysis Reports on
nine housing market areas: Akron, OH; Albany, NY;
Appleton-Oshkosh, WI; Buffalo-Niagara Falls, NY;
Hamilton-Middletown, OH; Harrisburg-Lebanon, PA; Las
Vegas, NV; San Diego, CA; and Vallejo-Fairfield, CA.

These in-depth analyses of local area housing markets
provide an up-to-date profile of an area's economy,
population, households, housing inventory and vacancy
rates, sales and rental market conditions, and forecasts
of housing demand. The data presented allows comparison
across three time periods: 1990-2000, 2000-date of
analysis, and from the analysis date to a forecast date.
The Comprehensive Market Analysis Reports provide tools
that are especially useful to anyone concerned with local
housing conditions and trends, including builders and
mortgage lenders.

The reports are available as free downloads from HUD USER
