Subject: AHS 2005 Top and Bottom Code File

The Top- and Bottom-Code documentation for the 2005 American
Housing Survey dataset is now available for download or
viewing on the HUD USER web site,
https://www.huduser.gov/portal/datasets/ahs.html . The
file is an Excel spreadsheet.

In order to maintain confidentiality, unusually high (and, in
a few cases, low) values in the AHS dataset are replaced with
maximum (or minimum) values, called top (or bottom) codes.
The top code file documents these values for the affected
variables.

Subject: AHS 2005 Tabulations on the Web

The tabulations of the 2005 American Housing Survey are now
available for downloading or viewing in PDF format from the
Census Bureau web site,
http://www.census.gov/hhes/www/housing/ahs/nationaldata.html .

This document is not the full report. It contains only the
tables. The full report, including appendicies, index, and
notes, is still in production. We will put it on the web site
as soon as it is ready.
