AHS users-

We’re in the process of updating the AHS Codebook to reflect the 2003 data file.  As a part of thisupdating, we’re making corrections, clarifications, minor improvements, etc. to the codebook.  We’ve assembled a list of changes based on questions we’ve gotten since the last release, but we suspect that there may be others that we haven’t heard about.

So a request: If you have identified any errors, problems, confusing sections in the current AHS codebook, could you please let me know, and we’ll try and incorporate all changes in the next release.

Preferred way to let me know is by email:gwatson@icfconsulting.com,so we then have something we can easily track and also forward to HUD or Census if one of them needs to clarify.

Next release of the codebook will be roughly concurrent with the AHS 2003 data file.  As Dav Vandenbroucke from HUD said in a message in February, the quality control of the 2003 data file has begun.
