Residential Fixed Investment (RFI) for the third quarter of 2002 was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of
$468.4 billion, unchanged from the value from the second quarter of 2002 but 5 percent above the third quarter
of 2001. As a percentage of the gross domestic product (GDP), RFI was 4.5 percent, unchanged from the previous
quarter but 0.1 percentage point above a year ago.
