Residential Fixed Investment and Gross Domestic Product*

Residential Fixed Investment (RFI) for the fourth quarter of 2000 was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $413.0 billion, unchanged from the value from the third quarter of 2000 but 1 percent above the fourth quarter of 1999. As a percentage of the Gross Domestic Product, RFI was 4.1 percent, unchanged from the previous quarter but 0.2 percentage point below a year ago.
