Several auxiliary files related to the 2009 American Housing Survey have been added to the HUD USER web site:

Metro Survey Maps: The zip files containing PDFs of zone maps for the New Orleans and Seattle metropolitan areas now include maps of the zones used in 2009. The New Orleans zip file also has new maps for the 2004 survey. https://www.huduser.gov/portal/datasets/ahs.html.

National Topcodes File: Some variables in the AHS public use files are top- or bottom-coded to protect respondent confidentiality. We have posted a spreadsheet to help users understand what variables are subject to these rules and what values they will see as a consequence. The spreadsheet is on the 2009 national page, https://www.huduser.gov/portal/datasets/ahs.html.

Worst Case Needs Tables: HUD's office Policy Development & Research recently published the 2009 Worst Case Housing Needs report (https://www.huduser.gov/portal/publications/affhsg/wc_HsgNeeds09.html). This report is based on 2009 national AHS data. We have posted the appendix tables from that report in spreadsheet format on the 2009 national AHS web page, https://www.huduser.gov/portal/datasets/ahs.html.
