Housing Summit Highlights Challenges Facing LGBT Elders
The first-ever LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender] Elder Housing Summit was hosted at HUD headquarters in Washington, DC in December 2011. The event included panel discussions highlighting program models designed to expand and improve LGBT elder housing and long-term care.

Kershaw Commons is a 30-unit affordable housing development in Freehold Township, New Jersey designed for residents living with multiple sclerosis. The first of its kind in New Jersey and only one of four in the nation, it utilized creative financing and expedited local permitting to become a leading housing development designed specifically for those with multiple sclerosis
