PD&R Is Pleased to Announce New Leadership

On June 20, 2019, the United States Senate confirmed Seth D. Appleton as HUD's 16th Assistant Secretary for Policy Development and Research. Mr. Appleton has been with HUD since July 2017, serving first as HUD's Acting Assistant Secretary, then as General Deputy Assistant Secretary for Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations, and most recently as Associate Deputy Secretary. Prior to joining HUD, he worked in the United States House of Representatives from 2004 to 2017, the final eight of those years as Chief of Staff to Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer. Mr. Appleton discusses his priorities as PD&R Assistant Secretary — reducing regulatory barriers, disaster recovery, and developing PD&R's Research Roadmap — in the latest Leadership Message on The Edge.
