HUD's Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R) recently released the report, Examining the Effects of the Rental Assistance Demonstration on Children Living in Public Housing in Fresno, California, which presents findings on HUD's Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program. The RAD program is intended to improve physical conditions, resident quality of life and long-term affordability of HUD-assisted housing developments. In particular, the report assesses outcomes and the well-being of children living in developments that have undergone rehab and conversion under the RAD program at the Fresno Housing Authority.
