In this issue of Breakthroughs, we focus on the 14
communities that have just received the inaugural Robert
L. Woodson, Jr. Award for their work in reducing
regulatory barriers and making great strides in
affordable housing. The new issue is available on the
Regulatory Barriers Clearinghouse (RBC) website at
https://archives.huduser.gov/rbc/archives/newsletter/vol4Iss3.html

This time out, we're breaking with the tradition of
having three articles on different affordable housing
subjects, and have instead developed a single article
that focuses on the award-winning reform efforts achieved
by Austin, Texas; Carolina, Puerto Rico; Chicago,
Illinois; Cincinnati, Ohio; Town of Corte Madera,
California; Fitzgerald, Georgia; Fort Collins, Colorado;
Grand Forks, North Dakota; King County, Washington;
Orlando, Florida; Oxnard, California; San Antonio, Texas;
Santa Fe, New Mexico; and White Plains, New York.

We hope these communities' efforts will inspire you to
take action in your own community, and perhaps even
consider submitting a success story of your own. If you
have a strategy or practice that you think could assist
others, send us an email at mailto:rbcsubmit@huduser.gov.
If it's easier, you can call us at
1-800-245-2691/option 4. We'd like to showcase your
successes in an upcoming edition of Breakthroughs!
