From: HUD USER News

HUD USER has posted three new Comprehensive Housing
Market Analysis (CHMA) reports on Bakersfield,
California; Wichita, Kansas; and Knoxville, Tennessee.
These reports contain important information for
builders, mortgage lenders, borrowers, local planners,
and others who need to keep up with local housing
conditions and trends. Prepared by field economists in
HUD's Office of Policy Development and Research, the
reports provide data about employment, population,
households, and housing inventory that are useful in
anticipating changes in the demand for new housing. The
analyses describe the economic, demographic, and housing
inventory characteristics of their respective housing
market areas from 1990 to 2000, from 2000 through June
2007, and projections from July 1, 2007 to July 1, 2010.

These CHMAs, as well as previously published reports
covering housing markets across the nation, are
available at
 www.huduser.gov/portal/publications/econdev/mkt_analysis.html.
All reports are available as free downloads.
