Subject: AHS: Housing Needs of Persons with Disabilities

A new HUD report using American Housing Survey data has been posted to
the HUD USER web site. The title of the report is "Housing Needs of
Persons with Disabilities: Supplemental Finding to the Affordable
Housing Needs 2005 Report."

This report is intended as a supplement to the Affordable Housing Needs
2005 report, which presented findings on worst case needs for affordable
housing. It provides additional analysis and findings about such needs
among households with disabilities. The new findings in this supplement
indicate that a higher proportion of the 5.99 million households with
worst case needs in 2005 included persons with disabilities than
previously estimated. We invite the public to comment on this supplement
and offer suggestions for ways to continue to improve our estimates
going forward.

You can download the report in PDF format from
https://www.huduser.gov/portal/publications/affhsg/affhsgneedsdis.html .
