I have been reading the threads on weighting and had a question. I am new to using the AHS and am doing a lot of “hands-on” learning. If I am trying to estimate the number of renter households nationwide with incomes below a certain amount, would I use the WEIGHT variable in connection with ZINC to estimate this? If so, does the WEIGHT variable need to be manipulated at all or do I simply multiply WEIGHT by the number of records with ZINC below my income threshold?
