Honoring the 2010 HUD Secretary's Housing and Community Design Award Winners

Research AgendaThe 2010 AIA/HUD Secretary's Housing and Community Design Awards — recognizing the best in residential housing design, particularly in affordable housing, community-informed design, community connection, and housing accessibility — were recently awarded. The winners in each category are as follows:

  • For Community-Informed Design: Congo Street Initiative of Dallas, Texas
  • For Creating Community Connection: Artist Housing/Arbor Lofts of Lancaster, California
  • For Excellence in Affordable Housing Design: Paseo Senter at Coyote Creek of San Jose, California
  • For Housing Accessibility (Alan J. Rothman Award): Madrona Live/Work of Seattle, Washington

Congratulations to this year's winners for their efforts in crafting design solutions that help build stronger, more affordable, vibrant, and inclusive communities.
