RE: 1985 shift in control identifiers

Since I haven’t seen a response from Dav Vandenbroucke or Census yet, I’ll provide one, which they may elaborate on. This may be a good reminder for people so going to the list.

This is correct. The national sample was redrawn before the 1985 survey, and therefore it is not possible to link units in the pre-1985 surveys with units in the 1985+ surveys.

Is there a disconnect between the units sampled in 1973-1983 and those sampled
