Come to UC Berkeley on October 1st, 2004 for the second west coast meeting
of the Housing Statistics Users Group–HSUG-West!

This year we feature presentations on California population projections and
housing needs; the NKCA (Neighborhood Knowledge California) GIS system for
Census 2000 data; the American Community Survey and how it will change your
life; CHAS data and the latest on American Housing Survey data and
Knowledgeplex. Your favorite experts will talk about new methods for
determining the potential for infill in a local area as well as advise us
about data sources to monitor performance. We conclude with a panel of
experts from California and the Pacific Northwest on benchmarking the
impact of fees and growth management tools on the costs, supply and
affordability of local housing…market rate and low income.

You should attend HSUG-West if you are a housing data maven or housing
planner in local or regional government or you have an interest in new
methods and data sources for local housing planning and performance
monitoring. HSUG-West is sponsored by the Fannie Mae Foundation; the
Department of City & Regional Planning, the Institute of Urban and Regional
Development, and the Berkeley Program on Housing and the Urban Policy (all
