A number of AHS-related files have been posted to the Internet recently:

2003 AHS Instrument Contents File:
This file was produced as part of obtaining OMB clearance for the 2003 AHS. It reproduces all of the questions, prompts, and other information displayed during the course of an interview. While not as easy to read as a paper questionaire, it is somewhat more human-friendly than the Q-Code.

2003 AHS Income Limits:
This is a dataset in ASCII comma-separated values format containing HUD income limits, area median incomes, fair market rents, and poverty incomes for the records in the 2003 AHS. For the first time, this dataset was compiled using the Census Bureau's geocoded AHS file, enabling us to match AHS records against current income limits by county and metro area, as needed.

AHS 2003 Publication Tables:
This is a tables-only version of the AHS report, in PDF format. It contains none of the appendicies or other text. The current document is offered for those of you who want the tables as soon as possible.

2001 AHS Weights Based on 2000 Control Totals:
This is a dataset in ASCII comma-separated values format containing a new set of weights for the 2001 AHS. These weights are adjusted to match 2000-based control totals, rather than the 1990-based control totals used in the WEIGHT variable. The read me file in the zip archive has some advice about when each of the four 2001 weights should be used.

User-Supplied Programs:
The User-supplied programs library has been updated. The new or changed entries include 1) a SAS program to read the 1993 and 1994 metro survey CD (updated for new CD format) and 2) Stata programs for classifying family types from AHS person-level data. The Stata programs were contributed by Richard Levey of the National Multi Housing Council.
