HUD NOPI Grants Updates

Last month, HUD USER News announced the availability of three HUD Notice of Public Information Grants through the Office of Policy Development & Research. Recently, two of the grants received additional funding and had their deadlines extended.

The Homeless Families Demonstration Small Grant Research Program received an additional $125,000, making the total available amount $275,000; the cap of $75,000 remains unchanged. The due date for the preliminary applications was changed to March 1, 2011. Additionally, further details on the parent study have been provided, including links to the baseline survey instrument and a detailed list of participating programs and sites. The Sustainable Research Grant Program received an additional $1 million and will award $2.5 million in grants ranging from $150,000–$500,000. Preliminary applications for this grant are now due March 4, 2011.
