The listed inventory of new homes for sale across the nation, at 480,000 units at the end of April 2024, was up 2.1 percent month-over-month and 12.1 percent year-over-year. That inventory would support 9.1 months of sales at the current sales pace, up from 8.5 months in March 2024.
