Call for Submissions: The Dubai International Best Practices Award for Sustainable Development

PD&R’s International and Philanthropic Affairs Division encourages interested parties to submit applications for The Dubai International Best Practices Award for Sustainable Development.

Jointly established by UN-Habitat and the Dubai Municipality, the award recognizes outstanding best practices and achievements in sustainable urban development in each of five categories:

• Urban Regeneration and Public Spaces
• Construction of Sustainable, Innovative and Smart Buildings
• Sustaining Urban Food Systems
• Addressing Climate Change and Reducing Pollution
• Urban Infrastructure Planning and Management

National and regional governments, local authorities and their associations, nongovernmental organizations, multilateral agencies, community-based organizations, research and academic institutions, public and private foundations, media entities, and individuals are eligible.

The awards will be presented in February during World Government Summit 2024 in Dubai.
