From: HUD USER News

The public-use microdata from the 2007 national
American Housing Survey (AHS) are now available for
download from HUD USER, in both SAS and ASCII formats.
Also offered is the SAS file flattener program for
those interested in combining all of the files into a
single large file. The standard documentation files
will be posted as they are completed. In addition,
while the codebook will not be updated until the
metropolitan data are released at the end of
2008, important technical advisories will be posted
periodically.

The 2007 national AHS data is available free of charge
at www.huduser.gov/portal/datasets/ahs.html. The
August 28, 2008 American Housing Survey eList, found
at https://www.huduser.gov/portal/elist/archive.html,
summarizes revisions made to survey items.
