OT: Cityscape Data Shop

eList
I am starting to look for a paper to be published in the Data Shop
department of the next issue of PD&R's _Cityscape_ journal.  The paper
should be short, at most 2000 words, and concentrate on some
data-intensive work related to housing or urban studies.  The target
audience is other data users, and the idea is to show your peers what
interesting things you've done and to help them understand how to use a
data source more effectively.  I like to say that this department is an
opportunity to brag about the clever things you've done that are just a
passing reference or footnote in a policy-oriented paper.

You can see the two Data Shop articles that have already been published
at:

https://www.huduser.gov/portal/periodicals/cityscpe/vol9num3/index.html

https://www.huduser.gov/portal/periodicals/cityscpe/vol9num2/ch7.html

Two more are in the production pipeline:  one on HUD's Picture of
Subsidized Households, and one on using the ACS to measure housing cost
burdens.

If you are interested in making a contribution, please send me a
paragraph describing what you would like to do.  I would like to have a
draft paper by the beginning of March, to meet my deadline of March 15.

Please distribute this to whomever you think would be interested.
