Hello
I know that in the AHS special neighbors subsample from the
national sample for 1985, 1989, and 1993 that they surveyed the "10
closest residents" to the initial sample person.  Is there a way to find
out if they gave priority to those on the same street (but across the
street) as opposed to people who live on a backing street (but whose
houses might actually be slightly closer)?  Basically, how exactly was
the decision made in which neighbors to survey?
    thanks in advance
