Mashpee Housing Authority Eases Aid Restrictions

The Cape Cod (MA) Times (1/13, Wysocki) reports, "Using a three-year, $300,000 Community Preservation allotment, the Mashpee Housing Authority will help residents -- particularly veterans -- with rental costs and mortgage payments." MHA Executive Director Leila Botsford explained that these residents "make more than the maximum allowable income for affordable housing...but still aren't making ends meet." Botsford said that "Mashpee's new program will help people making up to" the town's median income of $80,000.
