Pasco Prepares for New Affordable Housing Option

The Tampa (FL) Tribune (2/4, Orth, 138K) reported, "Pasco County will spend some $1.1 million to buy and renovate apartments near Gulf Middle School in an effort to help create affordable housing. Built in 1989, Palm Island Apartments has 21 units on 0.69 acres at 6423 Illinois Ave., just off Congress Street, said George Romagnoli, the county's community development manager." The funds for the project "will come from Pasco's share of federal stimulus funds, Romagnoli said."
