Group Seeks Funds for Housing Project to Help Female Parolees in Bloomington

The Bloomington Pantagraph (2/8, Wells, 39K) reports, "A growing nonprofit organization is looking at an abandoned rental property at 604 W. Washington St. as the future site of a housing project for women on parole or probation. Labyrinth Services formed in 2005 to help women reintegrate into the community after spending time in prison." Notably, the group "has been offering referral services for about 18 months and now wants to provide clients with transitional housing, said co-president Mary Campbell."
