Small Project Boosts Public Housing

The Wall Street Journal (5/4) reports that real estate developer Bronx Pro Group will begin construction of an affordable housing complex in the Morrisania section of the Bronx today. While the project is scheduled to provide only 49 units, it is crucial in several ways. This is the first public housing building that has been built in years. Notably, the construction is occurring in spite of funding difficulties.
