AHS: Version 1.3 2011 PUF Available

Version 1.3 of the 2011 American Housing Survey public use file (PUF) is now available for download from HUD USER, https://www.huduser.gov/portal/datasets/ahs.html.

Briefly, the changes are:

HUDADMIN (housing assistance administrative match flag) corrects 13 cases that should have been blank.
REUAD (reason unit was added to the sample) has been updated to reclassify some “other” cases and improve manufactured housing move-ins.

All the changes to the PUF are described in the version control document on the web site.

The new version is available as SAS and comma-separated ASCII files. This time we are also releasing a “flattened” version of the SAS file.

The descriptive statistics file has been updated to reflect the new version.
