Introducing IPI Director Cynthia Campbell
After serving in various positions in the U.S. Navy and holding leadership roles at the Fisher House Foundation and Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Cynthia Campbell has joined PD&R as director of the Office for International and Philanthropic Innovation (IPI). Campbell highlights how her international and philanthropic experiences in her previous positions will inform her work at IPI, especially engaging with Habitat III, the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development.

Reinhard Manor Offers Residents of Woodbridge an Opportunity to Age in Place
As part of a 2012 plan to build at least one affordable housing development in each of its neighborhoods, Woodbridge Township, New Jersey, partnered with developers to create Reinhard Manor. The development, which opened in May 2015, is housed in a renovated school building and a newly constructed adjoining building. Reinhard Manor was designed with accessibility in mind and is intended for households headed by persons 55 years or older who earn no more than 60 percent of the area median income.

Request for Proposals: Using Linked Data To Advance Evidence-Based Policymaking
In partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau and with support from the Laura and John Arnold Foundation, Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for research and evaluation studies that link state and local administrative data with Census Bureau data to provide policy-relevant insights on public programs. Letters of interest for future projects or full proposals for projects that are ready for implementation are due by 11:59 p.m. Central Time on September 20, 2016.

Prospective homebuyers may not shop around for mortgages that could lower their costs, and existing homeowners may encounter unexpected costs that make it difficult for them to maintain their payment plans. Research demonstrates that homeownership education and counseling can provide timely, powerful support for existing and prospective homeowners.
