Charlotte Neighborhoods Get Eco Grants

The EarthTechling (1/9, DeFreitas) reports on the Neighborhood Energy Challenge grant in Charlotte which is giving money to numerous neighborhoods "to implement their energy action plans, which include home audits, public transit incentives, bicycle education programs/bike rack installations, solar lighting replacements, and conservation workshops." It notes that "the Individual Home Benefit through the program is $2,000 per household. Each household may receive weatherization and energy upgrades that include advanced insulation, sealing of the building envelope, and HVAC/ductwork."
