Clackamas County to Fund About $600,000 in Homelessness Prevention Initiatives

The Oregonian (2/29, Zheng) reports, "Clackamas County commissioners recently gave the go-ahead to include about $587,000 in the next fiscal year's budget for several homelessness prevention initiatives." These "programs address eviction prevention, rapid rehousing, wintertime shelter and other needs. The money also includes about $56,000 to hire a project coordinator to explore a pilot program of random rental housing inspections, which could eventually be paid for by annual fees from landlords or other sources."
