Return Of Optimism For US Housing.

The Financial Times (6/9, Kapner, Subscription Publication, 448K) reports the housing industry in the US may be on the upswing, with many markets performing more strongly than recent data reports. A study from Altos Research measured the prices of homes in 26 cities in May and reported New York and Las Vegas are the only of the 26 to see a decrease in price. Additionally, spring is bringing a bump, as CoreLogic report shows the first increase in list prices since April 2010; its survey of home prices in 6,507 different areas shows a slight increase in April 2011 as compared to March 2011.
