Efficiencies Wanted; Emphasis on Efficient

Vivian Yee writes in the New York Times (7/10) "City Room" blog that New York City "Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg announced a city-sponsored competition to design an apartment building full of 'micro-units' with 275 to 300 square feet of living space. Each would include a kitchen and a bathroom, but no closet." Bloomberg hopes such units will attract young people. The units would be small, but affordable.
