Thomasville Closes "Scattered Site Housing Project" Block Grant

The Lexington (NC) Dispatch (7/17) reports, "Thomasville officials closed out a state block grant Monday night that has provided needed home repairs to more than a dozen area families. The city's 'Scattered Site Housing Project,' funded by a $400,000 Community Development Block Grant from the N.C. Department of Commerce, has assisted 13 families with comprehensive rehabilitation and emergency repair grants since 2009." Groups that have benefited from the program include seniors, the disabled, and low- to moderate-income families.
