Crime Down Significantly in Public Housing

The Rome (GA) News-Tribune (7/26) reports, "Crime is down in public housing communities across Rome, according to Melvin Scott, security director for the Northwest Georgia Housing Authority. Scott said during an authority meeting Wednesday that through the first six months of 2012 police have filed 95 reports of incidents in public housing units, compared to 136 through the first half of 2011. That's a decline of 30 percent."
