Public Housing gets some Boilers

The New York Times (11/15, Rivera, Subscription Publication, 1.23M) reports, "Nearly 16,000 residents remained without heat and hot water in public housing developments in Brooklyn and Queens on Wednesday, as workers and contractors hired by the New York City Housing Authority installed temporary boilers in buildings damaged in the storm." This figure represents a decline from 18,000 Tuesday. NYCHA "has been importing the bus-size boilers from as far away as Texas, installing them outside the buildings and piping steam inside."
