A report on the Washington, D.C. National Capital Housing Authority’s Large Family-Rent Subsidy Demonstration, an experiment that involved leasing single-family homes and placing 50 large, low-income families previously housed in public housing. The average participant household consisted of two parents and six children, and the housing units were dispersed widely throughout a large area. This report contains an additional evaluation of the demonstration, authored by the Washington Center for Metropolitan Studies.
