This historic technical report examines the mobility of households enrolled in the Housing Allowance Demand Experiment (HADE), a HUD-contracted test of direct tenant housing subsidy models in the metropolitan areas of Phoenix, Arizona and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Households enrolled in the experiment received direct cash allowance payments for three years, following one of several assistance models. This report analyses data from the first two years of the experiment.
